Looking back, many things happened in China such as 2008 Beijing Olympics Games, snow disaster during the Chinese New Year, and huge earthquake in Sichuan. For Skyworth Digital, the most direct impact is the global financial crisis happened at the latter half of 2008. Facing such a tough economic condition and so many difficulties, Skyworth still kept a stable and fast growth in 2008. When the total sales amount of set top box went beyond 5 million units, the sales volume and net profit also reached the highest point in our 12 years’ history. All this cannot be achieved without the trust and cooperation of our customers and the great efforts of all our employees.

When it comes to the financial crisis, yes, it is a risk, however, I believe, it is also a great chance! Just as Warren E. Buffett said, “you only find out who’s been swimming naked when the tide goes out.” Only those who have real competitive edges can survive in the severe winter! After 12 years’ accumulation, Skyworth has established her own brand and mastered a great number of core technologies. Now, with enough cash flow, advanced manufacturing system, wide set top box roadmap and an intelligent R&D team, Skyworth can declare to the world that: we are ready for the winter and we are ready to become even stronger! While the naked ones are swept away, it’s time for the real man to come to the centre stage!
